To commemorate the centenary of the Rote Erde stadium, Borussia Dortmund presents a special exclusive kit that the BVB players will wear in the home match against Hamburger SV. The Authentic jersey features key design elements of the stadium that have been preserved to this day, and that characterize the unique atmosphere of the historic venue. The kit’s design is inspired by the stadium’s two entrances, most notably the iconic Marathon Gate. The sleeves, collar, and flocking detailing reference the distinctive running track that surrounds the pitch and has been an integral part of the stadium’s sporting history for decades. The colour and design of the BVB crest are inspired by the sandstone of the walls that have surrounded the stadium since its inauguration in 1926. The inscription “100 Jahre Stadion Rote Erde” (100 Years of the Rote Erde Stadium) is featured on the back of the neck. The Authentic jersey comes in a special box that includes a small gift. Fans can also choose to have it printed with the name of a player in the current squad or a selection of club legends.
